Meet Liz Vasinko, the compassionate and accomplished Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who stands as Mind Dojo’s esteemed Clinical Director. Liz’s journey in mental health is a testament to her unwavering dedication and expertise, rooted in a robust academic background and a commitment to lifelong learning.

With a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Carlow University and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Liz’s pursuit of knowledge remains tireless. Her quest for the latest research and specialized training ensures she’s armed with cutting-edge strategies to support her clients on their mental health journeys.

An eminent facet of Liz’s practice lies in her certification as an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist, empowering individuals to heal from trauma and negative beliefs hindering their growth. Her specialization spans adults, adolescents, families, trauma survivors, LGBTQ+ individuals, and those navigating recovery, harnessing evidence-based therapies tailored to each unique journey.

At the helm of Mind Dojo, Liz epitomizes professionalism and commitment. Her therapeutic environment fosters trust, allowing for profound exploration and transformation. Beyond her professional realm, Liz finds solace in nature, hiking and embracing the wilderness, integrating its healing essence into her counseling approach.

With a profound commitment to holistic well-being and an unparalleled dedication to her clients’ growth, Liz stands as a beacon of trust and support on the path to mental health and personal transformation.

 Liz has backpacked over 200 miles on the Appalachian Trail, a testament to her love for thrilling adventures and the rejuvenating power of nature.

Michelle possesses a rich blend of expertise and empathy in her professional capacity. Michelle, a renowned psychiatrist, has committed more than ten years to psychiatry, specializing in areas such as community and geriatric psychiatry, and also has significant experience in treating eating disorders. 

Michelle’s educational journey began at The Johns Hopkins University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biophysics, followed by a medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College. Board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology, Michelle is an advocate for continuous learning and evolution in her field. 

Michelle embraces new methodologies and technologies, as evidenced by her offering of telehealth appointments, ensuring accessibility and flexibility for her patients. Her commitment to psychiatry is not only a professional pursuit but also a deep-seated passion for improving mental health care and accessibility. 

Michelle leads with innovation, expertise, and a heartfelt dedication to patient care.

Here, every facet of your being is welcome, and Michael’s guiding melody will help you embrace the beautiful mosaic of yourself.

Holding a master’s degree from SUNY, where he crafted his groundbreaking thesis on music therapy’s impact on trauma-stricken adolescents, Michael’s mission was ignited. He witnessed the healing harmonies and knew he had to share this creative outlet with young souls seeking solace.

Originating from the outskirts of New York City, this Pittsburgh transplant has wholeheartedly embraced the Steel City. When not weaving musical narratives of healing, Michael enjoys bonding with his three energetic boys and showcasing his ultimate frisbee prowess.

Anna Smith

Anna embodies the essence of transformation—a beacon of healing as she wields Reiki mastery and Sound Healing with profound compassion, embracing transformation. Her path from trauma to healing ignites a passion for guiding others towards wholeness. 

Pursuing a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University, Anna harmonizes holistic wisdom with clinical expertise, crafting sanctuaries for profound healing to unfurl.  

Her nurturing spirit and intimate understanding of healing journeys define her as an empathetic Energy Healing Practitioner. With each step, she walks alongside individuals, offering solace and empowerment through a rich tapestry of holistic modalities. Anna’s commitment to facilitating growth and restoration resonates deeply, creating spaces where healing is not just a destination but a transformative odyssey toward inner harmony and well-being. 

Her journey of personal healing imbues her work with an authenticity that touches hearts and sparks the light of hope in others.

Anna is a proud member of theRosebud Sioux Tribe.  Her Native American roots infuse her approach, adding depth and authenticity to her metamorphic practice.

Brandi Eutsey

Meet Brandi, the empathetic and dedicated Nurse Practitioner at Mind Dojo. Her journey to support individuals battling mental health challenges began after she earned her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Indiana State University. 

Brandi boasts a wealth of experience in mental health, family practice, and addiction medicine, making her a front-runner in delivering comprehensive care to her patients. Her relentless commitment to mental health is evident as she’s currently pursuing psychiatric NP certification at Liberty University, reaffirming her dedication to helping those in need. 

Beyond her professional life, Brandi cherishes quality time with her husband, but ask anyone, and they’ll tell you her true love is her 10-year-old Cane Corso, a faithful furry friend. An ardent animal lover, she dreams of filling her home with dogs if given the chance.

Fun fact: Brandi is an entrepreneur in esthetics, where she takes pride in helping people feel and look their best, inside and out.

Brandi’s unwavering devotion to enhancing mental health through compassionate care makes her a cherished member of the Mind Dojo team.

Kara’s academic odyssey began at Slippery Rock, where her passion for psychology and cognitive science bloomed. It was here that the seeds of mindfulness were sown, guiding her toward the alleviation of mental suffering. Advancing to PennWest University, she honed her skills and emerged with a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling, ready to make a profound difference.

Outside the healing space of Mind Dojo, Kara finds joy and balance in yoga, takes solace in the companionship of her dog on long walks, and unwinds with the latest Netflix series.

Toni Antonucci

Toni’s educational voyage led her through the corridors of knowledge, earning her an Associate degree in Psychology, a Bachelor of Social Work, and a Masters from the Pittsburgh Graduate School of Social Work. 

Toni’s personal journey of transformation is a tapestry of resilience. As a former Navy wife who navigated 23 relocations, she understands the intricacies of adaptability and personal growth. From bartending to becoming a therapist, Toni’s path exemplifies the power of determination. 

When not helping others, Toni is a professional artist. She’s transformed her garage into an enchanting art studio. There, she loses herself in the vivid world of acrylic paints.

Toni’s daily drive is fueled by her insatiable love of learning, unyielding curiosity, and the deep-rooted love of her family. Join Toni on a profound journey of self-discovery, and allow her expertise to guide you toward a brighter tomorrow.

Lauren Grawert

Lauren embodies a philosophy that healing comes from within, championing the idea that we all possess innate solutions to our challenges. Known for her warm and non-judgmental approach, at the core is a focus on leveraging individual strengths and available resources, while effectively managing symptoms. Her work reflects a commitment to a balanced and integrative treatment methodology. Recognizing that individuals are more than the symptoms, she emphasizes a holistic understanding of each person’s journey.

Lauren’s credentials are impressive. She graduated Clemson Summa Cum Laude before going on to achieve her Medical Degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. As a double board-certified Psychiatrist, she brings extensive expertise to treating adolescents and adults grappling with mood and anxiety disorders. 

Beyond clinical work, Lauren is an advocate for reducing the stigma surrounding mental illness. She is dedicated to expanding access to treatment, ensuring that those in need receive the help they deserve.

Her work is not just a profession; it’s a testament to her commitment to fostering healing and resilience in the community.

 

Lauren enjoys long walks on her treadmill, creatively multitasking with some blog writing at her treadmill desk.

Alex Mizik

Meet Alex Mizik, the orchestrator of efficiency at Mind Dojo. Transitioning from a local mailman, Alex’s journey is a captivating tale weaving curiosity and creativity into every chapter.

At the core of Alex’s passions lies the art of storytelling. With a pen that breathes life into fiction, science fiction, and chilling horror, he recently penned an enthralling book, channeling boundless imagination onto paper. Beyond literature, virtual realms serve as his playground, exploring immersive video games that fuel his insatiable curiosity.

In leisurely pursuits, Alex thrives on strategic board games, embracing their intellectual challenges. Amidst the bustling rhythm of office duties, he finds solace amidst nature, nurturing vibrant gardens that whisper tales of his green-fingered prowess.

With a harmonious blend of creativity, strategy, and a touch of musical prowess, Alex shapes the Mind Dojo experience with his kind spirit.

Justin Lokay

Meet Justin Lokay, the visionary Co-Founder of Mind Dojo, propelled by a mission to revolutionize mental health care, drawn from his personal triumph over severe anxiety and depression. Committed to dismantling mental health barriers, he aims to provide world-class evidenced-based and holistic healing for the mind, body, and soul.

Justin’s entrepreneurial passion expands beyond Mind Dojo; he co-owns Lokay Lanes, a vibrant social hub. His worldview and career trajectory are shaped by meaningful collaborations that include influential figures like Senator Arlen Specter. 

At twenty-three, Justin Lokay assumed office as a councilman, championing practical reforms and fiscal accountability, later securing a pivotal role in Mayor Bill Peduto’s Public Safety Transition Team. With over a decade in media, he demonstrated excellence in imparting marketing expertise to political figures while devoting substantial effort to championing good governance, conservation, and child welfare initiatives.

His academic journey includes earning an MBA from Point Park University and a bachelor’s from the University of Pittsburgh. Outside work, he delves into U.S. History, a subject that captivates him, and seeks solace in the imaginative realms of comic books, where he finds inspiration.

Acknowledged in Pittsburgh’s 40 Under 40 and among Pittsburgh’s 50 Finest, Justin’s unrelenting drive and meaningful contributions reflect his dedication to positive change.

Corey Deasy

Meet Corey Deasy, the visionary Co-Founder of Mind Dojo, a dynamic individual fusing community impact with entrepreneurial zeal. Moved by personal loss to mental illness, Corey’s commitment to enhancing resources and awareness in this crucial field drives his mission.

 

Beyond entrepreneurship, Corey’s ventures in “experiential entertainment” have left a mark. A pioneer in Escape Rooms and axe throwing, his innovative projects redefine interactive engagement. Yet, it’s the transformative power of Mind Dojo that ignites his passion, steering his vision for positive change.

 

A trailblazer in community impact, Corey’s political contributions helped elect Deb Gross as Pittsburgh City Councilwoman, showcasing his strategic acumen and dedication to driving change.

 

A product of Central Catholic’s values in leadership and service, Corey’s foundation fuels his drive for impact. Balancing his pursuits, he finds joy in basketball, a channel for his competitive spirit, and indulges in the storytelling magic of movies to unwind.

At the forefront of Mind Dojo, Corey’s unwavering dedication to mental health, entrepreneurial prowess, and community engagement define his dynamic persona, blending professionalism with a touch of vibrancy, shaping a future of positive change.
